      <description><![CDATA[<p>"Invisibility Cloak" is a Niels Bohr Lecture by professor John Pendry held at the Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen.  John Pendry, The Blackett Laboratory, Imperial College London, UK has a background as a theoretical condensed matter physicist and is well known for his work on the structure of surfaces and their interaction with electrons and photons. In recent years he has been pioneering the new fields optical metamaterials, where his many contribution include the the theory of how to design the materials as well as use them to make perfect lenses and invisibility cloaks. He has received a number of awards for his work including the Dirac medal, the Descartes price, and the Royal medal of the Royal Society of London. </p>
